radio entertainment 1930's

1930's radio entertainment included comedians such as jack benny and fred allen, soap operas that people could sympathize with and the love. radios were also a source of inspiration with heroes like the lone ranger. on wednesdays night when people would tune into 'One Mans Family' the host would greet the listeners with "dedicated to the mother and fathers of the younger generation and to their bewildering offspring" giving off a inspirational vibe to cheer up the listeners. News broadcasting was also a huge role in entertainment to get caught up with the current affairs. The radio would broadcast many different children shows such as little orphan annie giving the children shows business and the children wanting more. throughout the 1930's music was widely popular and was played throughout every station in many different genres. most people enjoyed to listen to the entertainment on radios because it was free!
