1. I define progress as working hard until you reach your goal and the farther you go the more you've achieved.
2. The progressive era is the period in time that the social activist and political reform of the united states flourished, from the 1890- 1920's.
3. A few examples of issues and actions or achievement that were associated with the progressive era are people wanted to vote, fight political corruption and let the voting public decidede how issues should be addresses. Achievements were the outlawing of transport of alcohol and right to let women vote.Providing jobs for so many people was a major issue that could make more poverty.

Economic Efficiency
Promoting Moral Improvement
Votes for women
Temperance/ prohibition
destruction of urban "political machine"
election of senators
"Americanization" of immigrants
All of these goals were to help america become better then other countries.
